YAMBAF
The Yeye Aare Modupe Babalola Athletics Festival (YAMBAF) is a sport program designed for the purpose of identification and development of talents through participation in specific and well defined competitive sport activities, geared towards meeting the sport needs of the students in Afe Babalola University.
Subsequently, talent identification and development through this competition helps the University coaches in the detection and selection of athletes who are capable and fit to undergo selected training instructions, practice and skills needed for competitive sports activities for both intramurals and extramurals.
BENEFITS /ADVANTAGES
For the benefit of this program, participating students are of utmost benefits with both intrinsic and extrinsic values. The intrinsic value enables students to identify their personal talents having participated in various sports activities during the program through personal evaluation.
A student named Ayodele Oreoluwa from the college of law got sponsorship for a trip to United Arab Emirate in the second episode of YAMBAF from the sponsor of the program (Yeye Aare Modupe Babalola), as the overall winner in all the activities in the competition while cash prize and other incentives was given to other participants who performed excellently well in the competition (extrinsic value/ benefit).
